ACHIEVEMENTS - PATANJALI YOG PEETH INDIA (Parent Body at India)

  • Over 15 million people have benefited so far from Divya Yog Science Camps, conducted in India under the able guidance of Revered Swami Ramdevji Maharaj.

  • More than 20 million people are regular viewers and are deriving benefits from the age old science of Yog through programmes telecast everyday as detailed below:

  • Lacs of people have got treated for serious, curable and incurable diseases through Ayurved Chikitsalya - a centre for treatment and research run by the Divya Yog Mandir (Trust), Hardwar, in the last decade.

  • 1500 to 2500 patients visit the Ayurved Chikitsalya every day for treatment. Consultation is absolutely free of cost.

  • Experienced BAMS (First Divisioners) and MD Vaidyas(Doctors) serve under the able guidance of Revered Acharya Balkrishna Maharaj. The Trust bears the expenses of their lodging, boarding and monthly honorarium. They give free consultation to patients from India and abroad. Yog Instructors simultaneously teach Yogic exercises to patients and visitors free of cost.

  • A big plan is on the cards for lab testing & purchase of medicinal plants from farmers.

  • Nearly seven hundred Karamyogis (volunteers) are serving various social service projects of the Trust.

  • Millions of rupees have been spent on purchase of land and ongoing construction of Patanjali Yogpeeth. The OPD, with a capacity of six to ten thousand patients per day and an IPD of five hundred patients have been commissioned, on the Hardwar-Delhi National Highway, near Bhadrabad in Hardwar.

  • The entire project of Patanjali Yogpeeth is likely to be commissioned in two to three years.

  • The miraculous medicine to heal the frail and emaciated body Rishi Chayawan was invented by the Ashwani Kumar brothers during the Vedic era. This has since been known as Chayavanprash. Its constituents are Ridhi, Vridhi, Jeevak, Risbhak, Kakoli, Ksirkakoli, Meda and Mahameda, a group of eight plants popularly known as Astavarga of "Chayavanprash". These Astavarga plant species had been in oblivion because of improper details in old records and vague or wrong descriptions given in various nighantu books. Acharya Balkrishnaji Maharaj, Swami Muktanandji Maharaj and Dr. B.D.Sharma, with their endeavours, have rediscovered these valuable species for use in treatment of various ailments.

  • Divya Pharmacy, an ambitious service project of Divya Yog Mandir (Trust), endowed with knowledge and wisdom of our great saints and sages and most modern research facilities has been commissioned by Honb'le Sh. Narayan Dutt Tiwari, the Chief Minister of Uttaranchal on December 13, 2005. To provide quality Ayuvedic Products at minimum prices to patients suffering from incurable diseases and free of cost to poor patients is our motto. This unit, well equipped with machines of advanced technology, manufactures quality Ayuvedic Products on a large scale. Divya Pharmacy, having ISO 9001 and WHO-GMP,GLP International certificates, is one of its kind in Uttaranchal. Divya Pharmacy is engaged in continuation of the tradition of our saints who had suggested treatment for cure of diseases for which allopathy has no answer.

  • At Gurukul Kishangarh, Ghasera, Mahendergarh, in addition to traditional education,modern subjects like computer science, modern mathematics and physical sciences based on CBSE pattern, are being integrated into the curriculum. It is now a famous centre of education, being run on the Institution's directives.

  • Successful treatment, based on extensive research and experience, has been found for ailments like depression, high BP, diabetes, arthritis, gout, sciatica, cervical spondylitis, slipped disc, gas, constipation, hyperacidity, colitis, ulcer, obesity, cholesterol, cardiac diseases, leucoderma, multiple sclerosis, cirrhosis of liver, low sperm count, venereal diseases, asthma and migraine. Similar success has been achieved in the treatment of diseases of the eyes, kidneys and cancer. Work is in progress for finding treatment of muscular dystrophy and thalassemia.

  • Free Ayurvedic medical advice is provided daily to approximately one thousand patients through letters, fax, e-mail etc. Twenty four counselors sort out various problems of people from different parts of the country and abroad from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily over the phone.

  • Yog Sandesh, a research oriented monthly journal of Yog, spiritualism, Ayurved, Indian culture and traditions, is being published in Hindi, English, Gujrati, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, Assamese, Bengali & Nepali.
    The institution also runs service projects like herbal garden, Yajna(vedic sacrificial ritual), Vedic studies and Gaushala(cowpen).

  • One branch of the institution is in Gangotri, in the Himalayas for meditation. Plans to establish the social initiatives of the institution in other parts of the country soon, are underway.
